The YSDK Coimbatore Kendra conducted a retreat on 5 and 6th May 2018 that was attended by a total of 55 devotees from Tanjore, Tiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi ,Salem as well as local devotees. Our beloved Gurudeva Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda said: “Every person needs a retreat, a dynamo of silence where he may go for the exclusive purpose of being recharged by the Infinite.” The Coimbatore Kendra has proved to be such a sanctuary of peace for retreatants.
The Program was scheduled and organized with guidance from our main centre at Ranchi. The Energization Exercises were conducted both during the Morning and Evening sessions prior to meditation and is of great help in entering a calm, interiorised state of awareness. It was followed by a guided meditation session and Visualization techniques that were mostly in Tamil and was very beneficial to the new members.
The Program also included a Video Show on Saturday night and practice of Guriji’s Cosmic chants on the harmonium for volunteers interested in leading the meditation sessions. It ended with devotional bhajans on May 6th Sunday and was a wonderful opportunity for rekindling the enthusiasm to seek God.
